Pro-rector for Research and Development and the Department of Research and Development is looking for a new member of staff in a permanent 100% position. The recruited person will be part of the EU-team in the Department of Research and Development. HiOA is seeking University status and is looking to increase its portfolio of externally funded projects, particularly projects funded by The Research Council of Norway and the European Commission.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Advise researchers and research groups on writing applications for external funding, budgeting and the management of externally funded projects
  • Raise the level of competence in the area of external funded research with emphasis on funding from the EC framework programs and The Research Council of Norway for researchers, research leaders and administrative staff
  • Build national and international networks
  • Contribute to analysis of research and research policies
  • Manage internal applications for financial support for application development

 Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Further education to at least a Master’s degree (or recognized equivalent) or substantial relevant work experience in the field
  • Experience in working with EU and Research Council projects and applications, from the early stages to putting together a consortium to writing applications
  • Experience with research administration and the management of externally funded research projects
  • Proficiency of written and spoken English
  • Extensive knowledge of the Norwegian and EU research system

 Preferred skills in

  • Knowledge about finance and IPR in research projects
  • Competence on other programmes in addition to Horizon 2020 and The Research Council of Norway, for example Inter-reg and other EU programs
  • Knowledge about innovation projects and projects with industry participation

Desired skills

  • Good collaborative skills and experience in working in cooperation with others as well as being able to work independently, when required
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly and strategically to make an effective contribution to the HiOA team

Remuneration

Salary is set  in accordance with the Norwegian State Salary Scale, job code 1434 Adviser, wage scale 50-66 equivalent to NOK 429 700 – 569 700 or job code 1364 Senior Adviser, wage scale 60 - 72, equivalent to NOK 510 100 – 640 700. Higher salary may be considered for specially qualified candidates.
