Senior Researcher – Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), fixed term

Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA) invites applications from outstanding candidates to fill a two-year post as senior researcher (at a research professor level) in the field of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The post is related to the Research Group on Responsible Innovation (link HiOA).

Tasks and responsibilities
The researcher will develop and participate in international research projects in the fields of research ethics, ethics of emerging technologies, technology assessment and responsible innovation, and take part in the other activities of the research group.

Qualifications
General criteria for appointment of a position as Senior Researcher are stipulated in Regulations relating to Appointment and Promotion to Teaching and Research Positions (Forskrift om ansettelse og opprykk i undervisnings- og forskerstillinger) § 1-2, see details in Norwegian.

Desired skills
Applicants should demonstrate experience in project acquisition and project leadership. The successful candidate will have a strong publication record and excellent teamwork skills. We welcome applications from a range of disciplines, such as philosophy, sociology and the political sciences, but have a particular interest in candidates who transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries.

The candidate should be available for the post early 2015 and will be expected to live in the Oslo area. Norwegian labour conditions apply.

Remuneration
Salary is set in accordance with the Norwegian State Salary Scale, job code 1183 Researcher, wage scale 72-78 (NOK 639 500 – NOK 733 300).
