The position entails research and educational tasks in the field of mental health. We want to establish closer cooperation on research and education with health and care services in the mental healthcare field, and appointment in a lower percentage of a full-time position is also possible in combination with a relevant clinical role or another relevant position.
The starting date will be discussed further with the applicant.

Society has a great and increasing need for health care and social work expertise in mental health care, and the authorities are requesting new educational options in this field. At the national level, work is under way on specialist education for nurses in mental health care and substance abuse.
As an associate professor, you will be part of an active and ambitious team with interdisciplinary competence, pedagogical weight and professor qualifications in mental health care. We are constantly working on academic development and the research group Mental health is developing well. The department has seven research groups and also participates in the Ph.D. programme at the Faculty of Health Science. As an associate professor (førsteamanuensis/førstelektor), 35% of your position will be dedicated research time with the possibility for increased R&D time based on results-based incentives.
The department is undergoing a restructuring process aimed at strengthening the organisation of programmes. We have developed new programme descriptions for the bachelor degree programmes and the department’s master’s portfolio will be revised in the course of 2020/2021.
